Just when you think you have planted every inch of your garden, and not one more plant can be added, let us introduce you to bulbs!!! Most of these plants show off early in the spring before any other plants emerge from dormancy. This literally means you can plant your whole garden again! And just to think, you thought your garden was full already. And a garden that is lush and full in the summer is actually the best place to add bulbs. Once the bulbs have finished flowering they hang around for awhile and replenish their energy before turning yellow and dying back. If planted in the summer perennial garden they will be covered up as they turn yellow by the later season plants. When you have your garden completely full of perennials and flowering bulbs and there is no more room to pant anything we can talk about adding minor bulbs to your lawn!
