We're a big fan of the old adage, "the best time to plant a tree was years ago and the next best time is today!" From small flowering trees that can be added into the garden near the house to the grand shade trees that will be appreciated for generations we can't figure out why people don't plant more trees! Yew Dell wouldn't be the garden it is today without the foresight of Theodore Klein and all of the trees that he planted. Most all of the trees that you see when you visit the gardens are less than 60 years old! Once you realize this and then notice how large some of the trees are it makes you realize that it doesn't take that much time to see them mature into beautiful specimens!
