Interesting Kentucky native that can't decide if it's a herbaceous perennial, hardy succulent or . . . According to some, actually an Agave! Low rosette of thick green and sometimes deep red spotted foliage gives rise to 4' summer flowering stalks topped with yellow to pink flowers. Pollinated by sphynx moths, bumble bees and hummingbirds. Great for the rock garden in full sun. We've even grown some in containers/troughts. Fun plant
