Callirhoe involucrata (Purple Poppy Mallow)

This is a tough and drought tolerant little plant that only gets up to about a foot tall.  Also called wine cups because of the upright cup-like flowers that are a magenta like color.  This is a host plant to the Common Checkered Skipper Butterfly.
