Phlox carolina spp. carolina 'Kim' (Carolina Phlox)
The light pink flowers are unmistakably a phlox but the leaves might throw you for a bit of a loop. Long, narrow leaves that taper to a point are a light green color and the plant itself stands about 2 feet tall and will spread to about 4 feet wide. In the plant trials at Mt. Cuba Center this plant exhibited very high disease tolerance and the foliage stayed clean all season. In late May, the plant will begin to flower. 'Kim' was selected by Jan Midgley in Alabama.
