This herbaceous perennial boasts a nice, upright habit with great numbers of deep pink blooms that envelop the plant from late spring through mid fall. It prefers a very well draining, possibly even sand or gravel-heavy soil. Accordingly, this plant does not appreciate having cold, wet feet from heavy clay sites during the winter but it is incredibly heat and drought tolerant during the growing season.
