Viola pedata 'Eco Artist Palette' (Birdfoot Violet)

Regular price $15.00
Sold out

The common name of this violet comes from the thin, dissected foliage that resembles a bird's foot; a rather distinct difference from your usual violets with more rounded, heart-shaped foliage. This particular selection has gorgeous flowers that have a dark purple upper petal and lilac blue lower and side petals. The floral display is dense and showy starting in early spring and sporadic blooms may continue popping up throughout the summer into the early fall. Also contrasting with other native violets, this species prefers full sun and well-draining soils. Great in the landscape and equally impressive in a container. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens
