The quintessential and much loved Kentucky native spring ephemeral. Emerging in the garden in later March and coming into full bloom in April this plant will naturalize over the years and glow with blue to pink flowers. At Yew Dell, large masses of these can be found under the Beech trees. Local areas around Louisville that have amazing displays of these in the woodlands are Harrod's Creek Park in Prospect and on Trail 1 at the Charlestown State Park in Indiana.
