Too often honeysuckle is only thought of as an invasive that should never be planted. Don't overlook our native one though. 'Major Wheeler' is an excellent selection of this plant. It begins blooming in early spring just in time for hummingbirds to enjoy when they migrate back and continues blooming on and off all summer! A good sturdy fence, arbor, or trellis is all you need!
