Dryopteris expansa (Spreading Wood Fern)

Regular price $10.00

Not a common fern in the trade! Lacy, deeply divided fronds emerge in Spring. This one is native to cool, temperate and subarctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere. As such, it will have no problem whatsoever overwintering in our Kentucky climate, but Sparrowhawk Native Plants of Vancouver, WA recommends that you tuck this fern into your rotting logs, shaded water feature or other low-light areas of your garden that are rich in organic matter and moist year-round.
