Veronicastrum virginicum (Culver's Root)

Now this is a plant! A native that the pollinators flock to in late June and early July. Whorled leaves add an interesting texture to the garden before flower as well. Stands 6-7' in flower.  Although this is a big plant it doesn't take over plants nearby because of its open and airy habit.
