An improved variety of this native to the American Prairie, giving this plant excellent heat and drought tolerance. The stems have a reddish tint while a slew of light blue flowers show off from late spring through mid-summer. The floral display is wonderful, but the fall color is what really makes this plant stand apart from others. The thin, wispy vibrant orange to golden foliage moves attractively in the wind.
