This native ground cover forms a tight basal rosette of dark green leave with an abundance soft and velvety hairs. It slowly spreads via underground stolons and prefers a well-draining soil. The flower stalks can grow up to a foot tall and at the top emerges white to pale pink blooms that are very fuzzy and look like a cats paw, thus the common name.
