A beautiful native wildflower that has a delicate and airy appearance from the many small bell-shaped blue-violet flowers. It naturally does well in gravel or any well-drained soils; I have had no problem growing it in our pine bark-heavy potting soils. Very sporadic bloom season! It can bloom as early as mid-Spring, and after a summer dead-heading I have seen it bloom again as late as September!
