With burning bush being a plant that doesn't need to be planted for its invasive tendencies, this could be a very good replacement.  Only 2-3 feet tall and wide this plant provides beautiful reddish foliage all summer.  During the spring bright yellow flowers open up and really put on a show contrasting with the foliage color.  Full sun.
