Lavender in Kentucky can be like a snowman in the desert. Heavy, wet soils can make them melt. Well amended soil, along sidewalks, or in raised beds lavender can be made to work here but it can take a little extra TLC. Phenomenal is a big one that can reach 2-3' tall and wide.  One visitor to the garden recently shared success stories of keeping it in a large planter on a protected patio all year long!
