Uvularia grandiflora (Bellwort)

This is an elegant plant!  Forming large clumps of upright foliage somewhat similar to a Polygonatum but more full when it finally gets fully grown in late spring.  When the stems begin to emerge the plant flowers before the leaves completely open which allows a great showing of the flowers.  They are comprised of bright yellow petal that are twisted and hang downward.
