This is a cross between our native hornbeam, Carpinus caroliniana and the European species C. betulus.  Only growing to 30-40 feet tall it stays rather columnar and may only get to 15' or so wide.  The plants for sale are only around 3' tall and have been grown in Root Maker pots to eliminate roots girdling and to help promote a more fibrous root system.
